In 3rd quarter world sales of LCD-TVs in numerical expression have reached record value in 37,5 million pieces, having exeeded expectations of experts DisplaySearch. Sales of LCD-TVs in comparison with the similar period of last year have grown on 38 %.

Sales of LCD-TVs have grown more than on 10 % in all geographical regions, except for the Eastern Europe. In China and Japan demand increase was promoted by the state grants. China promotes purchase of flat TVs in a countryside. In Japan purchase of more effective in a consumption plan of electric energy of models, for example, is encouraged. The buyer receives the gift certificate which can then exchange for the goods in shop. As a whole world demand was affected by the low prices which involve all the new and new buyers, decided to buy the additional TV or changing old on the basis of cathode-ray.
World sales of TVs of all types have grown in 3rd quarter 2009 on 1 % to 54,9 million units. Positive dynamics in comparison year by a year is fixed for the first time from the crisis beginning. In total following the results of 2009 of analytics expect to receive figure in 140 million sold TVs.
The increase in volumes of deliveries has appeared is incapable to compensate decrease in cost prices – the gain of manufacturers from sale of TVs has continued to be reduced the fourth quarter to a number, having reduced in 3rd quarter 2009 in comparison with the similar period of last year to 10 % to $26,2 billion In a segment of LCD-TVs a difference between volume of deliveries and a gain also is considerable: despite 38 percent growth of deliveries, the gain has increased all by percent. Average holiday cost of the LCD-TV for a year was reduced to 27 %, twice more strongly, than on the average on the market in spite of the fact that cost of liquid crystal panels – the basic component of LCD-TVs – grew throughout all current year.
During the period from July till September, 2009 in the world it has been sold 3,6 million plasma TVs. On volume of deliveries they have occupied 6,5 % of the market. For a year of delivery were reduced to 5 %. Sales of CRT-TVs were reduced to 41 % to 13,7 million pieces (a market share – 25 %), deliveries of OLED-TVs were reduced to 82 % to 200 thousand pieces, deliveries of projective TVs were reduced to 64 % to 33 million units. The share of LCD-TVs (37,5 million) has made 68,4 %.
Company Samsung has kept leadership in the market of TVs of all types the fifteenth quarter successively (21,9 % of the market in money terms). Other South Korean company, LG, has taken the second place (12,9 %), the second quarter in succession advancing the Japaneese competitor – corporation Sony which has occupied 9,9 % of the market. On the fourth and fifth lines of company Panasonic and Sharp with shares of 9,1 % and 5,9 % accordingly.
