Japanese company Sony officially informed about forthcoming release of the first superthin TV on the basis of technology OLED in December. Technology OLED provides the best image at minimal time of the response and lower current consumption that is especially important for fans of sports transfers and films with dynamic stages. Unique lack of the given technology - the limited size of the panel and, accordingly, the display. It is expected, the new 11-inch TV on base OLED with thickness of 3 mm will cost 1740 dollars. For comparison, it is a retail price of the 40-inch Lcd - TV from the same Sony.

But representatives of the company consider, that the new technology will allow the company to make the big jerk in the technological plan. Now Sony takes the second place in the world on sales volumes of Lcd - TVs, after South-Korean company Samsung.
