Corporation Sony is not going to enter into a segment of Lcd - TVs with length of a diagonal of 100 inches and is higher, informs DigiTimes referring to the application of the president of company Redzhi Chubachi. As he said, necessity for release of such TVs no and at other manufacturers. Details of such decision of the company it is not informed, nevertheless, it is possible to assume, it is what is it connected to high cost of manufacturing of the big Lcd - panels. For today biggest of submitted Sony TVs have lengths of diagonals of 70 and 82 inches, however neither the first, nor the second model have not gone on sale yet.
The output of 70-inch model Bravia KDL-70XBR3 is planned to a summer of 2007. Cost of a novelty will make $33 one thousand. The TV of 82 inches is while at a stage of the prototype. Manufacturing of Lcd - TVs with a diagonal is higher than 100 inches is connected to high costs, and their cost is comparable to the price of the automobile of a representation class, and at times and surpasses it.
So, in November of the last year commercial release of 100-inch Lcd - TVs has been submitted by company LG Electronics. In the TV it is planned to use a matrix from LG.Philips.
